ERIC SCHULTZ

Founder/Partner

After five years as an investment banker, I left my job to pursue the growth of Relic Pictures.  At the heart of my decision was a love of film and a realization that a business-minded team can significantly impact indie filmmaking.

Eric is an Indie Spirit Award-nominated producer and founder of Relic Pictures.  He has served as producer or executive producer on all Relic Pictures projects. These include three films that premiered and received awards at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival: Here Alone (Audience Award), Dean (Best Narrative Feature), The Fixer (Best Actor). Other films include: Mr. Pig (Sundance 2016, IFC), Preppie Connection (HIFF 2015, IFC), The Heart Machine (SXSW 2014, Filmbuff).

Eric is currently working as producer on The Strange Ones, a thriller from directing team Lauren Wolkstein and Christopher Radcliffe, starring Alex Pettyfer and James Freedson-Jackson. A 2017 release is planned.

Eric produced Katie Says Goodbye, which was selected to IFP's Narrative Lab and premiered at TIFF.  The film stars Olivia Cooke, Mireille Enos, Christopher Abbott, Mary Steenburgen and Jim Belushi.  In 2015 Eric produced James White which won the NEXT Audience Award at Sundance and was released by The Film Arcade to rave reviews in Fall 2015.  James White was nominated for two Gotham Awards and three Indie Spirit Awards.

Prior to founding Relic Pictures, Eric worked five years at Barclays Capital in Investment Banking.  Eric graduated from Harvard College cum laude with a BA in Psychology with a secondary concentration in Economics.   IMDb link: http:/www.imdb.com/name/nm5526987/
